Pastor Ellis

Rev. William Ellis Oglesby has a Masters of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where he received the prestigious Alsup-Frierson Award for Excellence in Biblical Studies and Hermeneutics. Before coming to PCLT, he served at Austin Taiwanese Presbyterian church and worked as a chaplain in a large, urban hospital. He also studied at the Universität Tübingen in Germany and earned a BA at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.

Before entering the ministry, Pastor Ellis worked in marketing for startup software firms in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Nürtingen Germany, and Austin, Texas.

Ellis and his wife Lucy have a two-year-old son name Luke and an infant named Rick.

“God has great things in store for this church,” says Pastor Ellis. "We’re looking forward to increasing our outreach in the community and enhancing our casual/traditional worship services."
